Choose this first when your target is Android and you want the shortest path to seeing Gemma 4 run locally on a real device.

Why it matters

  • Useful for proving whether the device can handle Gemma 4 at all

Basic flow

Section titled “Basic flow”
  1. Install AI Edge Gallery.
  2. Start with a smaller Gemma 4 model.
  3. Confirm the model loads and answers before testing larger sizes.
  4. If performance is weak, validate whether hardware acceleration is active.
